hi, everybody i posted this a while ago, months i know, and i still wasn't totally satisfied with it. one day felicity suggested something and off i went. so here's the new poem. i think it's better, i hope you like it.
2,4,6,8,we don't want to integrate
This knot that’s all tangled And jumbled inside
Unraveling's what’s needed, not running to hide
We’ve become Interwoven
And yet we are separate
And share of one mind.
As we gently untangle and reveal each link
We find each one precious
With it’s own way to think.
But as we acknowledge each has it’s own way
We find that it comes with it’s own price to pay
We know some who wear glasses
Different prescriptions at that
They find it chaotic and that is a fact
Some of us speak
Some have nothing to say
Others just feel and long for the day
When the knot is untangled,
Each link’s it’s own shine
Each link that is separate in a circular line
A chain made of silver
And coupled with gold
A chain all unraveled
A chain that is whole
Each link lending it’s strength
Plus it’s own love and fear
Yet connected together, we’re present, we’re here
Each link has it’s value
Each link is quite fine
And when joined together-an intricate design
We do not desire to be reduced down to one
We believe that our value comes with the sum
Of part upon part with each job to be done-
Working together devaluing none.
So yes, we are many
And yet we are one.
